Christmas Giveaway Part II

Christmas Giveaway

The giveaway went great!  Shorter College helped to share the message of Jesus through singing, skits, a sermon, and more.  Everyone was laughing, listening intently, singing and more.  I love when the college group comes in to share with our people.  They do a great job of reaching out.  One family that got help outside of the Christmas Giveaway came to the service because they remembered what was presented last year. They then stayed to help pass out the food and toys. 

The families were all very thankful for what they received. To me it was a successful night.

Coffee House @ the MAC

Shorter College is in town this week to help do ministry with us.  Sunday night they allowed us to have a Coffee House @ the MAC.  There was coffee, soda, milk and cookies.  They shared some great music with us.  The numbers were small, but I think everyone that came had a great time and loved praising the Lord.

 

 

 

 

Happy Birthday Jesus Party

Just got finished with a great "Happy Birthday Jesus Party" at the MAC.  Did not get a overall count, but after looking at the number of things we gave out we are saying we had between 75-85 people, including workers.  The event consisted of lunch, crafts, games, music, the Christmas story, handing out stocking full of goodies, and of course having birthday cake and singing to Jesus.  Had some volunteers from Sand Run Baptist Church, Grace Baptist Church, and South Side Baptist Church helping out with this event.  Everyone had a great time and had some new people come out to join us.  Thanks to everyone that helped out.  Please pray that those we reached remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Giving Back Field Trip

 

 

 

 

 

There were 12 children and youth invited, 10 were able to go, on a field trip for doing 2 of the 3 Giving Back Projects.  The day consisted of playing at the MAC, going to Frisch's for lunch, going to the Dollar Store to get an item of their choice, going to South Side Baptist Church and watching a movie in the sanctuary (the kids loved sitting up in the balcony).  Everyone had a great time.

Christmas Play/Program

Last night we had a great program with the kids and youth from Hiding Place and Youth Night.  We came together with South Side Baptist Church to celebrate Christmas in a variety of ways.  See some of our pictures below.
